This course runs over a period of 4 weeks, Mondays and Wednesdays 

Morning Class –Every Month - 10h00 – 12h30 

Evening Class – Every Second Month* - 18h00 – 20h30 

This course will cover all aspects of makeup and being a makeup artist from start to finish. We recommend this course as your basis as an artist and after completion add on with Masterclasses to further your skills. 

Class 1: Introduction, being a make-up artist, your kit, hygiene and product knowledge and our favourite – BROWS ON FLEEK! – Artist own face 

Class 2: Foundations – all skin colours and types, becoming a contour queen and creating the perfect lips, blusher and highlighting - Artist own face. 

Class 3: Eyeshadows! On this day we will complete our first full face - Artist own face 

Class 4: Creating the perfect and sharpest liquid liner in history! Applying false lashes and creating a flawless glam look! – A Model is required 

Class 5: Instagram Glam! We will teach you how to create the perfect cut crease look and adding all the elements needed to create the trendy international look seen all over social media! - A model is required 

Class 6: Creative Class! Students need to bring a picture that inspires them, think creative and out of the box! We will help you to recreate that look so we can start of your makeup page with a bang! The more daring your look, the more you will grow as an artist and wow your audience! Students are required to create a mood board to motivate their look and to tell their story about where the inspiration for their chosen look was born - A model is required. 

Class 7: Bridal Make-up! A full recap of everything learnt for bridal makeup and to prep students for the exam. – A model is required 

Class 8: This is our final class and your examination will take place on this day. We will start off this class with a written theory exam. Then we will move on to a speed test. Here students are required to complete a full bridal makeup look in 30 minutes. After the speed test has been assessed the student will clean the models face and start with the practical examination on models face with a technically perfect bridal look in 1.5 hours. Work will be assessed by lecturer/assessor - A model is required. Models are to arrive with students!

Students will receive a statement of results on Graduation Day. 

Graduation day will be one month after each term has ended. And will be confirmed with students in advance. 

All Students are allowed no more than ONE GUEST to attend the graduation day with them. 

The final results will be determined with the following categories: Class test, Speed Test, Theory exam, Practical exam, Mood board and Creative look, Portfolio. 

Failure to complete any of the above- mentioned categories will influence the final mark and could result in student failing their course. 

Students can retake their exams at an additional fee to the student. 

Each Term we will announce our top students for each term in each category as well as an overall winner for the term and at the end of the year we will announce our Make-up artist of the year! 

We will provide opportunities for our top candidates to work in the industry to gain experience and to build a name for themselves. And also to offer any job opportunities to the stars of Halouw first!

This course is perfect for our International students and students who live in other provinces. During this course you will learn all the signature Halouw techniques from start to finish. We recommend this course for students who would love to attend our Flagship Beginner to Pro course but only have one week available to complete. 

Day One

• Brows on Fleek, Skin Prep, Foundations, Contouring, Lips, Blusher, Highlighting, Hygiene. 
• Your kit – going through the contents, explaining each product and its purpose. 
• Eyeshadows, liquid eyeliner, false eyelash application 
• Artist will work on their own face. 

Day Two

• Instagram Glam! Creating the perfect Cut Crease and adding all the elements to be sure to keep your followers in awe of your work! – A model is required 

Day Three

This One Day Intense course offers you the quickest option to learn “The Halouw Way” and start your career as a make-up artist on the very next day! This class is designed for those who would like to specialize in Bridal makeup. We have had amazing results from our students attending this course that are making it big in the industry. From being their own bosses to working on television or for cosmetic companies! 

Remember, you can always add on Masterclasses to take your skills even further. Masterclasses can also be added to learn other looks that were not covered during your one-day training. And you can do as many as you like! 

We do believe that the more time spent at Halouw the better artist you will become!  

*A model is required throughout the entire day. We can supply you with a model that must be arranged at least two weeks in advance at an additional fee of R800 for the entire day, payable to the model directly.

This class is for established make-up artists or an artist who has done any of our other courses and wants to master their skill to become the very best at what they do! 

This time is yours! Whatever you want to perfect, we will take you there! 

We do encourage artists to bring a picture of a look or elements of different looks to create one look and we will take you on a step by step journey to create the types of looks that will wow your audience! 

You are also welcome to book a double session or three, or even ten if you prefer to recreate as many looks as you want with advance skill and confidence. 

As a make-up artist you always have to be on top of your game, this class enables you to lift your skill level with every class. 

We recommend these classes to ALL students who have completed any of our other courses.

This in-depth lesson allows enough time for a full face to be completed. 

You will be asked at the beginning of the lesson what is your biggest concern and what exactly you expect to get out of your lesson so that we can make your vision a reality. 

• You do not need to bring along any makeup for this class, we will provide all products used during your class. 
• Clients are welcome to shop till they drop in store after their session with the help of their teacher to find the correct products, colours etc to suit your needs and budget.

This class is a one on one session where we teach you step by step on how to create these advanced looks. 

We will also teach you how to take the perfect photo so that your followers can go crazy for these new looks! 

You will have your choice of how many looks you would like to learn.

• You do not need to bring any makeup or brushes, we will supply everything to use during your class.
• A model is required for this class. For these looks we require a model with large eyes. We can arrange for models for you at an additional fee of R400 per look. 

We do recommend that artists attending these classes have a good background in make-up knowledge as these classes are the most advanced beauty make-up looks in the world.
